“St. Thomas Sings” – 150th Anniversary of the Morant Bay Uprising

The St. Thomas Parish Council under the distinguished patronage of The Hon. Dr Fenton Ferguson, M.P., and Minister of Health hosted “St. Thomas Sings”. This was held on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Rudolph Elder Park.  Special performances included the Jamaica Constabulary Force Choir, Commander John McFarlane and Nadia Gray. Over two thousand (2000) people came out to the event.
The concert was the second of many activities planned in the parish to culminate with the 150th Anniversary of the Morant Bay Uprising on October 11, 2015.

The first concert was held on Sunday, March 8, 2015 which was dubbed “Jamaica Military Band in Concert” this was under the distinguished patronage of  Hon. Marcia Bennett, C.D., J.P. Custos Rotulorum.  That concert was sponsored by Sherwin Williams.
