Sections of St. Thomas was affected by heavy rains during the period, May 23-24, 2016. The heavy rains resulted in the Dalvey Division being significantly affected as well as minor damages in the Port Morant Division. The areas seriously affected in the Dalvey division are Springfield Road, Crocket Road, Top House Road, Morgan Lane Road, Barkinglodge Road, Chapel Hill Road, Arcadia Road, Jane Ash Corner, Brown Man Hill Road and Duckensfield Road. The damages comprise deep scouring of roadways, blocked drains, landslippage and fallen trees.
The Roads and Works Department of the St. Thomas Parish Council continues its Flood Damage assessment.
